When I saw this ABC News World Report, I got chills. It is heartbreaking to watch the families of the victims bury their family member or close friend. Yet, it is also an amazing story of survival and strength. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and astronaut husband Mark Kelly the prayers of a country are with you and the other survivors!

This is great. There's a saying in Brazil, the world's most populous Catholic nation, that "God is Brazilian." It means that though the people are imperfect, still struggling and persevering, God has blessed them with such a beautiful and bountiful country, he MUST be Brazilian!
It's all in jest, of course. God may not be partisan, but I could not conceive of him as a Tea Partier or Republican. Then, when Gabby Giffords continues making a "miraculous" recovery, when she opened her eyes after being visited by three Democratic colleagues, all of whom voted for healthcare, including Nancy Pelosi who has been DEMONIZED by the Right, it makes one wonder.
I happen to think God is on the side of the better angels of our nation. And today, those better angels I think, happen to be mostly Democrats. I have long believed that any vote for a Republican (with notable exceptions, but based solely on the respective party policies) IS A SINFUL ACT.
Just saying. I tend to separate religion from politics, but for those who don't: Jesus Christ was a socialist and God is a Democrat. Just sayin'.
