This morning my voice is hoarse.
I am guilty of yelling at the tv.

Last night, I managed to sit through an entire 45 minute speech, for history sake. Yes, I am a history buff. Yes, I greatly appreciate the historical event of last night. Yes, I was even excited to listen to our first Black Presidential Nominee speak on the anniversary of the "I had Dream" speech.

Not once did Barack Obama refer to the Constitution, which as President of the United States all his rights and powers are defined. Dr. King referred to the Constitution as 'magnificent' and 'sacred'.

Barack Obama speaks of a government that will "help families pay for college" and help those "find a job that pays the mortgage", instead of find a home within their salary and sacrifice and save, just as his Grandma did. Dr. King spoke of the "riches of freedom and the security of justice" and he refused to believe that "there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation".

Dr. King wanted the opportunity for his people to live the American dream. Barack Obama wants the government to do "that which we cannot do for ourselves".
I am shocked I did not see this direct quote in Obama's speech "From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs." Barack Obama see's himself as the great unifier, or I would argue, the great equalizer. Only one infamous philosopher could see this great Change coming when he said, "Democracy is the road to socialism." Thank you Karl Marx. I am afraid we are on that road with Obama in the driver's seat. And on a completely different note....
Sarah WHO!?!?!?

Sarah Palin, 2 year Governor of Alaska. Pro's: Ethically strong, Executive experience, Fiscally conservative, personally Pro-Life (didn't opt for a physician approved medically needed abortion), Gun Owner, strong family values, etc. Con's: Foreign Relations experience, No-National/World exposure experience, no-Washington experience. So in other words, EXPERIENCE! It will be very interesting to see how the mother of 5 adapts to the really public life. Will she get rid of the 90's claw that holds up her thick hair into a french twist? (Of course I'm commenting on appearance, at this point that's all the information I have!) Are you as baffled as I am?
